All of our best Grüner Veltliner grapes grow on the warm loess soils of the Johannesbergen vineyard. Fullbodied, complex, long lasting.

Origin: single vineyard Johannesbergen, Herrnbaumgarten
Soil: Loess, planted with various blooming herbs and clover types to promote biodiversity and soil organisms
Harvest: Hand picking with several rounds in late october
Grape processing & vinification: destemmed, 6 hours macerations with moderate must oxidation, temperature controlled Fermentation in stainless steel vats, left on lees until march, not filtered before bottling
Analysis: Alc.: 13.5% ABV, residual sugar: 1.2 g/l, acidity: 5.1 g/l
Description: Spicy, slight scent of passion fruit, papaya and quince with hints of orange zests. Juicy, elegant, with well integrated acidity. Fruity aromas of peach, slight minerality in the aftertaste, while well balanced on the palate. Accompanies all kinds of food.
Food pairing: Traditional Viennese cooking (boiled fillet of beef, Schnitzel), white meat (veal, rabbit), fish with spicy sauces.
Drinking temperature: 10-12°C
Best age to open: 1 - 4 years after harvest
